Caco-2 cells were incubated with stearic, oleic, linoleic, α-linolenic, γ-linolenic, AA, EPA, and DHA at 100 µM (black bars) in absence (A) or presence of FBS (B) for 48 h and DNA fragmentation was measured. Values are mean ± SEM (n = 3–8). *P < 0.05 versus negative control group (cells cultured in absence of FBS, white bar).
