a In leftover strawberries, the hepatitis A virus (HAV) IB outbreak strain was detected. The strain is phylogenetically related to strains from Egypt.

b Tested strawberries originated from Poland.

c A retention sample of frozen strawberries was tested for HAV in summer 2019 and no HAV was detected.
