Time-dependent differential release rate of exosomes from HCE-T cells. (A) Exosome amounts in culture media were quantified and (B) the rate of release was calculated at 36 and 72 h post-treatment. HCE-T cells were treated with 1 μM LP-A96. The total amount of exosomes and the rates of exosome biogenesis/release were higher during the 0~36 h period compared to 0~72 h period. This suggests the rate of exosome uptake/turnover exceeds the rate of exosome biogenesis/release during 36~72 h period as cells reach confluence. *** p < 0.001, ** p < 0.01. Mean ± SD.
