Table 2.

Kinetic study of Cu2+·ATP.

Entrya Catalyst kapp (M−1 s−1) krel
1 None (1.6 ± 0.1) × 10−3 1.0
2 ATP (1.3 ± 0.3) × 10−3 0.8
3 Cu(OTf)2 (1.1 ± 0.1) × 10−2 6.9
4 Cu2+·ATP (2.0 ± 0.1) × 10−2 12.5

aReaction conditions: 1a (20–50 μM), 2 (5 mM), ATP (250 μM), Cu(OTf)2 (50 μM), MES buffer (2 mL, 20 mM, pH 5.5), 4 °C. All kinetic measurements were performed in triplicate and standard deviations were calculated. The rate acceleration krel was calculated as the ratio of kapp,cat/kapp,uncat, where kapp, uncat and kapp, cat are the kapp values in the absence and presence of the catalyst, respectively.
