Acriflavine (ACF) inhibits cell growth and STAT3/5 signalling in various myeloid leukaemia cell lines. A, KU812, KCL‐22 and MV‐4‐11 cells were treated with various concentrations of ACF for 72 h, and the percentages of viable cells were determined by MTT assays (data are presented as mean ± SD of three independent experiments performed in triplicates). B, Protein extracts from K562, KCL‐22 and MV‐4‐11 cells cultured for 72 h without or with increasing concentrations of ACF were analysed by western blot to detect changes in phosphorylation and/or expression of STAT3/5A/5B (n = 2).
