Ovaries development of H. axyridis. Dissecting the ovaries of female H. axyridis in saline, after the wings were cut off, the back of the ladybird was gently made open. Remove non-reproductive tissues and organs such as fat body and digestive tract and intact ovaries could be seen at the end of the abdomen.
