The non-canonical CTC was notably larger in size compared to mature WBC (diameter 22.53 μm) and exhibits features suggestive of degeneration (arrow). The cytoplasm was scant, eosinophilic, with an oval nucleus with degenerative intranuclear vacuoles and ill-defined chromatin structure, Giemsa stain.
