At a low entropy threshold, each ISM contains sequences that nearly all belong to the same clade (high homogeneity) but the clade contains multiple ISMs (low completeness). As the entropy threshold rises, ISMs gain more sequences (some of which belong to other clades) and the clades contain fewer distinct ISMs. Thus, there is a trade-off with the entropy threshold, but the sweet spot is around 70-80% on both metrics, showing that ISMs capture some aspect of phylogenetics but have their own characteristics.
