(A and B) Primary human ventricular fibroblasts were stimulated with AngII (100 nM) for 10 min and western blot performed, or for 24 h and YAP target genes determined by quantitative polymerase chain reaction. (C to F) Pretreatment for 30 min with the YAP inhibitor verteporfin (VP; 0.5 μM) prevented AngII-induced gene expression in human fibroblasts.
