The following tests gave identical results for the five species: acid production from L-rhamnose (+), D-maltose (+), D-xylose (+), D-trehalose (+), D-cellobiose (+), D-melibiose (+), D-lactose (+), mannitol (+), salicin (+), L-arabinose (+), erythritol (−), D-arabitol (−), adonitol (−), inositol (−).
