Umbilical artery flow (cm/sec) changes in response to severe umbilicoplacental embolization in sheep. Rapid, repeated injections of microspheres into the umbilicoplacental circulation will induce fetal distress and umbilical artery flow patterns that parallel those seen in human IUGR.
