Wild type and Nlrx1-/- mice were irradiated and replenished with bone marrow from healthy wild type or Nlrx1-/- mice. Mice were allowed to recover for 6–8 weeks prior to inoculation. (A) Kaplan-Meier survival curve for neutrophil depleted chimeric mice inoculated with AF293 via non-invasive tracheal instillation AF293 conidia (10⁷ conidia/ 25μL). Mice were immuno-suppressed on day 1 prior and day 3 post inoculation using IP injection of Ly6G antibody (Clone A18). Statistical significance was determined using the log-rank (Mantel-Cox) test. N = 10 experimental group.
