Notes: Cord and child blood concentrations (μg/L) were log-transformed. Parameter estimates and p-values were obtained by multiple linear regression and 1000 bootstrap samples. All models were adjusted for sex, age at adolescent examination and total lipids. Model 2 additionally adjusted for gestational age, child blood lead concentrations, cord blood PCB 153 and cord blood total lipids. When an interaction between prenatal exposure and sex was found in cord models, the interaction term was also added.
International Obesity Task Force references for sex and age specific child BMI classification (Cole et al., 2000).
Adjusted for height and age at childhood examination.
Adjusted for birth height, maternal height, height and age at childhood examination.
Adjusted for weight and age at childhood examination.
Adjusted for birth weight, pre-pregnancy maternal weight, weight and age at childhood examination and adolescent height.
Adjusted for childhood BMI z-score.
Adjusted for birth weight, pre-pregnancy maternal body mass index and childhood BMI z-score.
