For the number of clusters (Panel a), lower numbers indicate better performance (perfect performance = 2, as 2 identities were present in both the sorting tasks). For “Telling people together” performance (Panel b), higher numbers indicate better performance (perfect performance = 1, where all stimuli from the same identity were sorted into a single cluster). For “Telling people apart” performance (Panel c), lower numbers indicate better performance (0 = perfect performance, as this would indicate that no stimuli from different identities were put together in any of the clusters).
