Circular loop coils (orange) with radius R are arranged on the spherical surface and can be appropriately rotated by azimuthal (α) and polar (β) angles to compose different finite arrays designs. (b) OPTXE was calculated for single voxels across the diameter of the sample, 2D circular disk excitation ROI’s on a transverse plane through the center of the object, and 3D spherical excitation ROI’s concentric with the spherical sample.
