DOX inhibits the proliferation of BMSCs. Primary BMSCs were treated with DOX before measuring cell viability. The CCK-8 assay (A) and live/dead staining (B) showed that the number of dead BMSCs increased significantly after 72 hours of DOX treatment at a concentration higher than 10 nM. Cytotoxicity (live/dead) assay images show the live (green) and dead cells (red) in a cellulose sample.
