The use of magnetically aligned glycosylated cations to produce osteochondral tissue. The coupling of anions with heparin produces a glycosylated canopy that can effectively isolate and release growth factors, the key mineralized protein osteopontin (Iwasa & Reddi), which is specifically present at the bone end of tissues.
