LncRNAs are widely expressed in the lung tumour microenvironment. (A) linc00861 is underexpressed in microdissected tumour samples from BCCA-LUAD (B) linc00861 displays preferential expression in various T cell subsets in tumour-derived immune cells of the E-MTAB-6149 scRNAseq dataset. (C) Expression of linc00861 is significantly negatively correlated with the LUMP marker of immune infiltrate in the TCGA-LUAD cohort. (D) linc00861 expression in E-MTAB-6149 is heavily skewed towards T cells in clusters of stromal cells isolated as single cells from bulk tumour samples. (E) Kaplan–Meier analysis of five-year overall survival in all tumour samples of the TCGA-LUAD cohort (n = 502). Patients within lower tertile of linc00861 expression display significantly poorer 5-year overall survival.
