a

State indoor air policy coverage refers to the strength of restrictions on tobacco use in 3 locations: workplaces; bars; and restaurants. An index score (0-6) was constructed based on whether a state had no restrictions (score of 0), some restrictions (score of 1), or 100% comprehensive restrictions (score of 2) on product use in each of the 3 locations.

b

Exclusively refers to restrictions on combustible product use.
