Curcumin inhibits the proliferation and viability of HCT-116 cells. (A) HCT-116 cells were treated with three different doses of curcumin (10, 20 and 30 µM) and 5-FU (500 µM) for 24, 36 and 48 h. Cell proliferation was determined using Cell Counting Kit-8 assays. (B) Effects of curcumin and 5-FU on the viability of HCT-116 cells according to a colony formation assay.
