Dose–response curve on prenatal supplementation of methyl donors on fetal/birth weight in all pregnancies: There was a dose–response relationship between birth weight ratio and daily dose of methyl donors (p_slope = 0.0002). Excessive doses of methionine and cysteine resulted in lower birth weight (methionine p_slope = 1.09 * 10–5; cysteine p_slope = 0.16). Daily dose is expressed as mg per kg metabolic body weight.
