Figure 1

Stat5b-CA.BMDCs display tolerogenic properties. Bone marrow-derived dendritic cells (BMDCs) (1 × 105 cells/well) were generated from NOD and NOD.CD11cStat5b-CA mice and cultured for 48 h in the absence or presence of granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) (50 ng/mL). (A) Cell surface expression of CD80, CD86, CD40, and MHC II. Numbers in the windows correspond to the percentages of positive cells with respect to total population of BMDCs. (B) Expression of PD-L1 and PD-L2 on CD11c+ BMDCs was determined by multicolor flow cytometry analysis in cells exposed or not to GM-CSF. Data are representative of three independent experiments. The asterisks indicate statistically significant differences determined by one-way ANOVA tests. p < 0.01 (**), p < 0.001 (***), and p < 0.0001 (****).
