Peripheral cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1R) antagonist increased lipolysis. 3T3-L1 adipocytes were treated with AM6545, rimonabant (RIM), and isoproterenol (ISO) for 4 and 48 h. (a) AM6545 increased glycerol and free fatty acid (FFA) releases into the media. (b) AM6545 increased genes involved in lipolysis such as hormone-sensitive lipase (Hsl), adipose triglyceride lipase (Atgl), and beta-3-adrenergic receptor (β3R).
