Figure 5

Dose-response effect of RiLK1 on the survival of different foodborne pathogens. Bacteria were incubated in the presence of increasing concentrations of the peptide. Data were determined by enumeration of the surviving colony forming units (CFU) on plates seeded with the pathogen incubated with the different peptide concentrations. Results were expressed as the percentage of colony forming units (CFU) survival, with respect to the colony counted in the control plates. The half-maximal inhibitory concentrations (IC50) and Minimal Bactericidal Concentration (MBC) values of the tested peptide against each bacterial strain were calculated using GraphPad Prism version 6.00. Data are presented as means ± standard deviation (s.d.) of three separate experiments performed in triplicate.
