Effect of ionic strength variation on the reactivity of the reduced chymotrypsinogen, lysozyme and ribonuclease. (A) The change of the hyper-reactivity due to ionic strength variation was assayed for rChTg’s reaction with CDNB, NBD-Cl and DTNB at pH = 5.0, as reported in Section 4. (B) A similar experiment was performed with rLyz for the reaction with CDNB and NBD-Cl at pH = 7.4 and DTNB at pH = 5.0. (C) The change of the hyper-reactivity due to ionic strength variation was assayed for rRNase’s reaction with CDNB and NBD-Cl at pH = 7.4 and DTNB at pH = 5.0. The details are reported in Section 4. The data are the Mean ± S.D. of three independent experiments.
