Studies of the volatiles of Pa clinical isolates. Double plate method, as described in Figure 3a, with TSA plates. Fifteen representative isolates, 5 in each group, were studied, and the aggregated results are presented. CF isolates were more inhibitory than the non-CF isolates, and the nonmucoid CF isolates were more inhibitory than the mucoid CF isolates at all the time points. Three, two, and one asterisk represent p < 0.001, p < 0.01, p < 0.05, respectively, compared to the control.
