Preconditioning of agar plates with 2-heptanone interferes with 10AF growth. TSA plates were exposed to either sterile water, DMSO, or 2-heptanone (5.7 M), on 1 cm paper disks in lids for 90 min at room temperature, followed by the removal of the agents. One filter disk was placed on each pre-conditioned agar, inoculated with 10 µL of A. fumigatus suspension (5 × 10⁴ conidia/mL), and the sealed plates were incubated at 37 °C for 48 h.
