The interlayer moments are short-range ordered in both temperature ranges. b Schematic of the ground state in Zn-substituted barlowite (Cu3ZnxCu1−x(OH)6FBr, x ≳ 0.55). Neither the kagome nor the interlayer spins have appreciable magnetic order down to T = 0.1 K.
