Scanning electron micrographs and dynamic light scattering Zetasizer analysis were used to characterize PLA microparticles (MP) modified by cationic chitosan chloride surface coating. Antigen adsorption was calculated by comparing the amount of antigen in supernatants after centrifugation with total input antigen (protein concentration was analytically determined).
