Mean (± SD) eccentric leg press strength and vastus lateralis muscle thickness measured during pre-, post-, and 8 weeks post-training assessments. Significant increases in peak eccentric strength (a) and muscle thickness (b) were detected after the 6-week ECC and ECCPF training programmes.
