Dietary intake, energy and dietary efficiency per period. In the period I (week 1–4), the animals received control or high fat diet (Obese group). In the period II (week 4–8), the diets were maintained, and the animals received water (Control and Obese groups) or palmitoleic acid (Obese+n7 group) by oral gavage. Results were expressed as Mean ± SEM (n = 36). Data were analyzed by one way ANOVA.
