Fig. 2 — Sub-chronic sCT administration alters monoamines and their metabolite levels in mice brain areas. Repeated sCT administration (5 μg/kg, IP) for 5 days increased the levels of the a 5-HIAA/5-HT and decreased the b DOPAC/DA turnover in the VTA of mice when compared with vehicle (Veh). sCT increased the levels of c 3-MT in the NAc, decreased d 3-MT in the dorsal striatum of mice, and decreased e NA in the hippocampus.
