Pooled health spending per capita includes government health expenditures, prepaid private expenditures, and development assistance for health. All health spending estimates are for 2017 measured in 2019 PPP-adjusted US$ adjusted for inflation. The black line represents the frontier values estimated for UHC effective coverage in 2019 relative to spending per capita in 2017. Locations are colour-coded by GBD super-region, with a subset abbreviated according to their ISO3 codes. ISO3 codes and corresponding location names are listed in appendix 1 (pp 64–68).
