The inhibition of Rho-associated protein kinase (ROCK) inhibited the formation of actin stress fibers and the phosphorylation of myosin light chains (MLCs) in human umbilical vein endothelial cells subjected to photodynamic therapy using talaporfin sodium (TS-PDT). The inhibition of (a) actin stress fiber formation and (b,c) MLC phosphorylation upon treatment with the ROCK inhibitor Y27632 was investigated using (a) immunostaining (original magnification, 400×; scale bar, 20 µm), (b) western blot analysis, and (c) quantification of the western blot bands. One representative experiment out of three is shown here. The Whole Blots for Western Blot analysis for Figure 5b are shown in Figure S2c.
