Concentration-dependent effect of FA and 5-Me-THF on metabolic activity of LCLs. Folate-deprived LCLs (n = 35) were incubated with five different concentrations of FA and 5-Me-THF for 72 h. Metabolic activity was assessed by an MTS assay. The response is expressed as fold change over vehicle-treated control. DMSO (<0.01%) was the vehicle control for all FA additions and water was the vehicle control for all 5-Me-THF additions. Values are means ± SD. Statistical differences were determined by two-way ANOVA with a post hoc Dunnett’s multiple comparisons test. n.s.
