Depolarization induces redistribution of clathrin in presynaptic axon terminals of dissociated hippocampal cultures. Under control conditions, label for clathrin was concentrated outside of the SV clusters (a). Upon high K+ treatment, SVs became de-clustered, and label for clathrin became dispersed among the SVs (b).
