The data were estimated from ART prescribing data from NHS England and are stratified by the PHE regions of London, Midlands & East of England (M&E), North of England and South of England. Data for London in 2015 do not include figures for the month of December. Hospitals in the former North West Strategic Health Authority (SHA) preferred to use raltegravir over bPIs as the third agent for a significant portion of the survey period. Figures may include a source of overestimation as raltegravir was used as first-line post-exposure prophylaxis following sexual exposure (PEPSE). NA, data not available.
