TDAG8 expression was significantly increased in the cerebral hemisphere after the induction of a transient occlusion for the middle cerebral artery (tMCAO). (a–e) Quantitative analyses of mRNA expression of TDAG8 (a), OGR1 (b), GPR4 (c), Iba1 (d), and GFAP (e) in the contralateral (Contra) and ipsilateral (Ipsi) wild-type (WT) hemispheres after the induction of tMCAO for 0.5 h and reperfusion for 24 h. Total RNA was prepared from each cerebral hemisphere of sham (n = 6) and tMCAO mice (n = 6). Results are expressed as the ratio relative to GAPDH. Error bars represent the mean ± SEM. Comparisons between contralateral and ipsilateral hemispheres were assessed using the paired Student’s t-test (N.S., not significant). The effect of tMCAO and the following reperfusion is significant (p < 0.01).
