The 12 patients who either withdrew consent or were intolerant to the dry powder inhalation had a drop in forced expiratory volume in 1 s or severe cough during the test inhalation. ^#: patients were included in the retrospective data analysis population if they completed the study in Germany or the UK and gave informed consent for retrospective collection of data for pulmonary exacerbation frequencies, hospitalisations, intravenous antibiotic treatments and spirometry assessments in the 6 months prior to visit 1 and 6 months post-study treatment visit 7. A total of 40 patients were included in the retrospective data analysis population.
