(Panel A and B) from the same patient shows how it is difficult to clarify common versus separate origin of left and right pulmonary artery based on the external appearance (Panel A). The internal virtual dissection view (Panel B), on the other hand, clearly demonstrates separate origin of the pulmonary arteries. (Panel C) demonstrates crossed pulmonary arteries with the origin of the right pulmonary artery positioned to the left of the left pulmonary artery.
