Epidural abscess – sagittal short-tau inversion recovery (STIR) (A), axial T1W post-contrast fat-suppressed (B), and axial T2 gradient-recalled echo (C) magnetic resonance images of the cervical spine demonstrate an anterior epidural fluid collection (arrowheads) with mildly hypointense STIR signal intensity with respect to cerebrospinal fluid and peripheral enhancement, compatible with epidural abscess.
