Body weights and calories consumed during the 14-week dietary study (n = 10/group). (A) HFHS-fed mice gained significantly more weight than LFLS-fed mice. Male HFHS gained significantly more weight than Female HFHS. (B) Female LFLS consumed the least amount of calories throughout the study. Female HFHS escalated caloric intake during the 14-week study and consumed similar calories to male mice by the end of the study.
