5′-Nucleotidase activity during aging in the cerebral cortex from senescence-accelerated mouse (SAM) mice. Plasma membrane and cytosolic fraction were obtained from the cerebral cortex of 3-, 6-, and 12-month-old mice, and 5′-nucleotidase (5’NT) was measured as described in the Materials and Methods section. Data are mean ± SEM from three to five different samples. Two-way ANOVA revealed * p < 0.05 and ** p < 0.01 are significantly different from the 3-month value; # p < 0.05, ## p < 0.01, and ### p < 0.001 are significantly different from the corresponding age-matched SAMR1 value; & p < 0.05 is significantly different from the indicated value at 6 months.
