Comparison of consistency and reliability in decision making among embryologists and the deep-neural network. (A) and (B) represent the consistency among embryologists and the deep neural network in disposition decision making when presented with the task of either discarding or selecting embryos for biopsy and the task of either discarding or selecting embryos for cryo-preservation (n = 56). (C) Measure of reliability for each individual and the deep neural network, through Cronbach’s α analysis of internal consistency among the tasks of biopsy, cryopreservation, and developmental stage grading (>3CC or <3CC). The criterion for both biopsy and cryopreservation of embryos was the exhibition of a >3CC developmental stage.
