EDX spectra of a field of lead di-bromide exhaust particles. A field of exhaust particles from the aircraft exhaust was imaged by HAADF/STEM and then an EDX spectrum taken. Peaks for lead, bromine are prominent. Copper peak reflects the copper supporting grid as this peak is replaced with a nickel peak if nickel grids are employed.
