Fig. 2 — Baicalein inhibited SARS-CoV-2-induced Vero E6 cell injury. The CPE assay was carried out in Vero E6 cells infected with SARS-CoV-2. Cells were pretreated with drugs for 1 h. Then SARS-CoV-2 virus (MOI = 0.05) was added and incubated for 1 h. After discarding the drug-virus mixture, the normal culture medium containing the drug was added, and the CPE was observed under a light microscope after 48 h. Baicalein showed cell-protective effects against SARS-CoV-2 in the concentration range of 0.1 to 50 μM. Scale bar = 25 μM.
