(A) MCF-7/pBABE (top) and MCF-7/HRG (bottom) cells were transiently co-transfected with an ERE-Luciferase reporter (the ERE-containing reporter plasmid) and pRL/CMV (an internal reporter plasmid to control for transfection efficiency). Cells were incubated for 24 h in the absence or presence of vehicles (control), E₂ and anti-IL-8 antibody individually or in the combinations specified, and cell extracts were analyzed for Luciferase activity.
