Figure 4

Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) induced Nrf2 activation on As(III)-challenged hepatotoxicity in mice. Representative fluorescence images of (A) Nrf2 staining for liver tissue sections obtained from mice of different groups after 7 days of treatment, whereas the cell nuclei were stained with DAPI. Liver tissue section cells were observed under fluorescence microscope. Scale bar: 100 μm (magnification 200×). (B) Nuclear Nrf2 protein levels were determined by densitometric analysis and normalized to the Lamin B signal. Nrf2 antioxidant-related proteins, including Nrf2, Keap-1, HO-1, NQO1 in total lysates were also analyzed by were analyzed by western blotting with specific antibodies. Representative blots were shown. Lamin B and GAPDH was used as loading control. Data are presented as Mean ± SEM (n = 3). Significant differences are shown as **P < 0.01, compared with the control group. # P < 0.05, ## P < 0.01, compared with the As(III) group.
