Definition of the recorded behaviors in the broilers.

Behavior Definition
Eating Birds were scored as eating when they pecked at the feed;
Drinking Drinking when they were pecking at the drinkers and subsequently tilted their head back;
Standing Birds were scored as standing when they were not moving and their body did not touch the floor;
Walking Walking or running in a normal or nonaggressive manner, without exhibiting any other defined behavior;
Preening Preening consisted of moving the beak over the feathers;
Stretching
Sitting
One wing on the same side of the body is extended (half extended) and one leg is extended without moving;
Elbows or chest were on the ground, with the head hanging on the neck motionless or swinging briefly to the ground.
