Programmed death-1 ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression is elevated in HepG2-SR and Huh7-SR cells, which acquire epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) characteristics. (A) HepG2, Huh7 cells, and the sorafenib-resistant hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells denoted as HepG2-SR and Huh7-SR are incubated with increasing doses of sorafenib for 2days. Cell viability (%) was compared to that of the corresponding untreated cells. (B) and (C) Western-blot analysis of E-cadherin, N-cadherin, and PD-L1 protein expression in HepG2-SR, Huh7-SR cells, and their corresponding parental lines.
